The school prides itself on providing a wide and varied curriculum. This acts to ensure both pupil welfare and development of high standards. We have attached long term plans for each class which are inline with the new national curriculum requirements (2014). They are on a 2 year rolling cycle due to our mixed aged classes.
We have a wonderful location and take every opportunity to visit our wildlife area within the school grounds and our students take a keen interest in our growing areas. We are very lucky to have two very keen, talented parent volunteers who organise gardening club 'plant2plate' and maintain our school garden and flower beds. We plan frequent visits to our local woodlands and other outdoor learning locations.
As part of our core curriculum all students receive specialist sports coaching and tutoring in French. In KS2 we also offer regular music lessons from a subject specialist.

Harvest and Christmas are sometimes celebrated in collaboration with The Church.
The school offers educational visits and over recent years these have included Croyde (Oceanfest), Longleat, Paignton Zoo, Bude (Geography), Rosemoor, Bristol Explore Centre Torquay and Exeter Museums, Plymouth Aquarium and the Eden Project. There are also residential visist for KS2 on two year rolling cycle.
