Teaching Assistant required for Halwill Primary School

Pupils on Roll 103

Occupational Group Educational Support EYFS

Salary details £8.36 to £9.21 per hour

Job Term Permanent part time – Core hours to include 5 mornings a week (9am to 12.30pm) with additional hours of 2 afternoons a week (1.30pm to 3.30pm)

Appointment type Term Time Only

Closing Date June 30th

We are looking for an experienced, committed, enthusiastic TA with a creative approach to learning to join our friendly and supportive team.

The job role requires supporting the teaching, learning and behaviour within an EYFS class

The successful applicant will:

  • have experience of working 1:1, with small groups and supporting whole class teaching, ideally in EYFS
  • have a kind, caring and compassionate approach to children which supports the

caring, inclusive ethos of the school

  • be able to motivate and inspire children to do their best at all times
  • be able to build positive relationships with children while establishing consistent boundaries
  • have NVQ level 2 in maths and literacy
  • be flexible, adaptable, and willing to use initiative
  • enjoy working as part of a team
  • keep records using school systems and feedback to staff and multi- agency professionals as required
  • be prepared to undertake some support of children during lunchtimes

Recent training in, and an understanding of, the Thrive approach ( or similar) in supporting children’s social and emotional development would be an advantage

Appointment type Term Time Only
